The irony of it. My father had Polio, one of the last in the United States to contract Polio before its eradication in 1955. Despite seeing the success of the polio vaccine, he refused to accept the covid vaccine, and now he is in a hospital bed unable to breath and his heart is operating at 25%

If he did accept the covid vaccine, he probably would still be in a hospital. He would just be able to breathe slightly better and his heart would probably be operating at 50%.

If his heart drops to 20% effectiveness, they estimate he has days to live. Either way, his chances of a recovery are extremely low, especially since he is also on dialysis.

Which disproves nothing I said. Even if your dad dies, it is still not evidence that covid isn't over.

What criteria are you using to determine whether covid is over?

Very clearly outlined in my reply.

It isn't evidence of anything. Its a fact. OP asked "Is covid over" and the likelyhood of my father recovering are slim. I would say, for all of those still losing loved ones, No, covid is not over.

You need to prove that covid vaccines have the power to save dying people from death.

Why do I need to prove your statement.

I am sorry that some people are losing loved ones. But I don't think that should be the criterion for determining whether covid is over. To illustrate my point, imagine that there is only one single person, literally only one person in the entire world, who is infected with the covid virus. Are you seriously going to tell me that covid isn't over? I mean, technically, you would be correct, because there is still someone infected. But this is not the sense people are referring to when they ask whether a disease is over or not.

There is no need to be butt-hurt. I know that you dad is in the hospital, however it's not my fault.

As my father laying dying in a hospital bed literally at this minute, I can tell you that COVID is not over. I don't think you want to try and tell me I can't have a personal definition of when COVID is over, and I know the families of the people dying every day likely also agree with me.
