We can clearly see the men are treated well and are handed rations and drinking water.

Confronted with this footage Ukraine had no other option than admitting that these were indeed the soldiers that were stationed on Snake Island. What a farce.

Thanks to WarLeaks channel for updating and rectifying this, these guys at least care for honest news coverage.


Whats more likely, brazen act of propaganda or they genuinely thought these men were dead after no one heard from them? We have the recording because all Russian communications are happening over unsecured analog radio, the soldiers from the island weren't heard from after, and a Russian warship pushed past. It would be fairly safe to assume these men died, and the fact Russia captured them and is now talking about it days later is an attempt to drive the narrative that the Ukranians are making shit up when the truth is simpler. They just didn't know they survived.

Apparently they fired on the rocks and some infrastructure. No dead bodies were recovered

Probably more important things to do given that there's an active invasion happening in Ukraine. Do you expect the Ukranian government to go to a tiny ass border island in now Russian-controlled territory, see the lack of bodies and release a statement oh these people must be alive?

Again they made an assumption during an active war that was a reasonable assumption. Snake Island is currently controlled by Russia. There is no way to verify what happened to those soldiers, and after Russia took the island, no one heard from the soldiers. It's not unreasonable to think they died. You're eager to assign malicious intent to something thats just... What happens in war. You don't get up to date info every second on every possible thing.

And OP is not about telling anyone to F off, it's about using the incident for propaganda purposes. You might want to read OP before embarrassing yourself again.

Have you read OP? The Russian claims were ignored. As per usual. The incident was basically put on repeat all over MSM voicing the Ukrainian narrative. That's how much they loved the narrative.

You're defending far left propaganda.

What matters is that Zelensky took the opportunity and jumped on it in dramatic fashion. (Had the story been true he would have been right. Shame on the Russians for killing those soldiers.)
