The American right has very little to differentiate themselves. They all agree on almost everything, because the American political spectrum is already limited to the top-right corner, and the right wing of America is even further smushed up there.



In the same way all evil men are "great men". He's massively influential, and will be seen as a shit stain on American history that made the country far worse.

This is from someone who purposefully skews his posts into outrageous territory, but still far from the likes of taking the quoted notion and trying to make people believe it. He's great at being a stonewalling turd. Not much else.

McConnell has been an effective leader for his party. He saved us all from the horror of seeing Merrick Garland seated on the nation's highest court. He's done more than anyone to ensure that the federal judiciary is staffed with intelligent, intellectually consistent judges. He successfully navigated the Trump era with his caucus intact, where a lesser man (i.e. Lindsey Graham) would clearly have failed.

Trump is sore that McConnell doesn't respect him, and so McConnell is unfairly maligned by large portions of the Republican base that simply don't understand or appreciate what he has managed to accomplish. The left hates him for good reason, he has done than anyone to frustrate the Democratic party's agenda. Getting into moral histrionics on politics is ridiculous and unproductive, they're all conventionally immoral, it's a Machiavellian business.
