Nice dodge, was expected

lol ok.

You know nothing about the topic and just decided that civil asset forfeiture is caused by defunding the police, even though it's been happening longer than that has been in your vocabulary and happens all over the country, even in the reddest states that would never dream of cutting police funding.

The Source did not at all linked it to defund the police. Try again

In fact the video is from 7 years ago, before the defund the police movement was even on anybody's mind. It actually proves my point pretty well. But thanks for admitting you didn't actually take in either of the sources and just bought into the thread title

You're the one in favor of defunding DPs, I'm against it and this is just another issue that shows defunding makes matter worse, thread title suggests that. Last week I posted a thread of the effects in Chicago with sources posted, you simply denied

You can deny all you want this dumb chit only makes matters worse no matter what you say

You are both focusing too much attention on which came first the chicken or the egg. Civil asset fofeiture has been around for some time already and cops have been abusing it. Now because of budget cuts this is an avenue that they will start abusing it with revitalised vigor. Legalised theft, sweet let's instead stop people for non DUI related checks. Search cars for non probable causes, if they ask then say drugs. Oh what's that you got there? A couple hundred dollars cash. Sorry that's drug money you have no say we will take it, thank you very much.
Then there is other more serious things like your vehicle and even your house.

It will be avoidance game from now. Unless reform is going to take place. Police profiling is just going to intensify. Especially for poor looking black people not because they are black but because they are most likely to carry cash and or drugs in the mind of the law. Police won't be police it will be who looks like an easy bag of money for me to take.

Cool story.

You bought into the OP without good reason, and now can't acknowledge it.

For real, you should look into civil asset forfeiture. They've been stealing from citizens all across the country for decades now. NEVER travel with cash. They will steal it if they find it.

I mean, civil asset forfeiture has been a problem for decades. It's pretty silly to link it to the movements to defund the police. If you don't want me to point that out don't make dumb claims in the thread title.

Stop fixating on the origins. Not saying that it wasn't a problem before simply saying it will be increased even more just like the obvious crime rates. Which they have. This thread is about more subtle effects.
Look at the larger picture and see how that will unfold.

Crime rates spiked all over the country, even in deep red states that never gave defund the police a second thought.

This was pointed out in the other thread which I never saw you address.

There's absolutely no reason to tie civil asset forfeiture and defund the police. You're just doing it because you have a bone to pick with "the left".

I don't read every troll post out there and certainly don't live on jsp like you do, so forgive me for not being up to date with latest jsp gossip. If you have links post them otherwise the original premise stands

Great way to admit that you consider active and direct reputations of your claims to be something not worth reading. Make sense why you never get any smarter
