Nubia was conquered by Egypt and taken into the empire in ~1500BC. Even prior to that Egypt had extensive contact with Nubia.

Egypt was thriving for literally thousands of years while Europe was a back-water and Rome didn't even exist.

The fact that this haplogroup is rare in Egypt actually proves my point lol. If Egyptians were white you would expect this haplogroup to be exceedingly common in Egypt.
