I think this is more about ensuring everyone pays their fair share, or are you opposed to taxation as a whole?

Here is what i am for. Go all in and say everyone's tax and even all transactions are visible to the public. Shine the light on everything. No secrets full stop other the ones between you and a lamp post.

Personally i don't mind taxation. However ultimately we should strive to reduce it to close to 0. Because tax basically says "we are still bunch of untrustworthy animals who must forcefully contribute under a thread of a gun/jail"
If you are trying to solve loopholes and tax evasions and all kinds of unethical business practices then it will go a long way to be transparent

Can't really do that with that pesky right to privacy and constitution and all that.

The right to privacy and transparent information are not mutually exclusive. All transactions could be made public but anonymous for example to help guide tax code, regulation, etc without stomping on citizen rights. Not 100% transparency, but moves the ball.
