I think I'd rather go to Switzerland. Competent governance, neutrality, guns.

Yeah, I also prefer the politics and founding ideals of Switzerland over those of Norway - but for commoners, the standard of living is higher in Norway than in Switzerland. When people think of Switzerland, they think of rich bankers or German physicians flocking there in droves because of the better wages and lower taxes - but there actually are quite a lot of working poor in Switzerland, something that's not the case to nearly the same extent in Norway.

I personally would prefer Switzerland because there would be less of a language barrier, the scenery is even nicer and because it's close to where I live anyway (southern Germany). But from a neutral pov, I can't really say Switzerland is a better country than Norway.

Let's put it like this: that Switzerland, a country without relevant natural resources, is even in the conversation of being ahead of a competently run oil country is impressive in and off itself.

that's an interesting take coming from the hack who tried to fear-monger with the "military-enforced lockdowns aided by drone surveillance" description, which was totally not in any way misleading, right?

Lol wtf?!?! What I was saying are plain facts...

what he said were "plain facts" too. yet you clutched your pearls over "misleading" framing. which, again, is rich coming from you with your deliberately authoritarian framing of the issue. hypocrite.

How exactly is it misleading framing to say that Australia has military-enforced lockdowns which are aided by drone surveillance? How would you describe the situation? "Mostly voluntary stay at home orders"?

how exactly was it "misleading" to point out that the "military enforcement" and "drone use" are very limited in scope, to counter your original misleading narrative? it's amazing that you genuinely don't seem to get it, lol.

"Affecting 50% of the country's population" != "very limited in scope".

Also, don't you see how deploying the military against one's own civilian population crosses a huge line, even if it was limited in scope?

Out of all those, I think I'd choose Australia. It's the most similar to California climate wise and that's the most important thing to me. Also, I've never met an Aussie who wasn't fun.
