sadly i did :(
cornish hens are bred to die before age 1. if they live longer they wont grow feathers on most of their body, generally can't walk well if at all, and have constant diarrhea and other health issues. i culled my entire herd 65 days after hatching and they were 6-8 lbs each cleaned. many kill at 50 days or so.
as compared to regular chickens that can be 10+ years old with proper care.
cornish are made to grow meat in as short of time as possible, then die.
Yeah its pretty fucked up what weve done to chickens.
They cant even hold their own body weight most of the time.
Poor, poor delicious chimkins.
