Cancel culture is a cancer for society and the well-being of democracy, no matter where it's coming from. I do not support or condone the silencing of free speech by the political right. This pamphlet is nasty, but the student has every right to publish it and the federalist society was wrong to try to get it cancelled/censored.
For many years, conservatives used to be the main culprits of censorship and cancel culture. However, at some point between 2008 and 2018, things turned around, and nowadays, it's liberals/leftists who are responsible for the bulk of censorship and attacks on free speech. One counterexample, and a weak one at that, does not disprove this trend.
I disagree, the right are still by far the main pushers of cancel culture its just so normal for them we mostly just ignore it now, ask any gay or trans person.
Last I checked the last 10 big controversial books were 8 with gay themes, Harry potter and some other novel with occult themes, 10/10 conservative targets.
