IQ is the most supported measure in social sciences. If you throw out IQ, you throw out everything that exists in social sciences.

I am totally fine with this. IQ doesn't have great correlations, and almost everything else in social sciences relies on garbage methodology as well.

IQ scratches the surface, but psychologists are generally really bad at science so they don't do enough replication and validation studies to call bullshit on things that are wrong. The few areas that are good in psychology have heavy overlap with more critical sciences, such as psychoneurology, since they're basically half neurologist.

I don’t knows who’s the bigger idiot. You or the Q follower on this forum. Either way you’re both imbeciles.

He's in the top three most irrelevant posters in the forum. Which is actually a big accomplishment.

Some people post a lot and make big claims which just end up being wrong. He just doesn't do anything here.

I know I'm gonna sound like a liberal....but that's all good and fine until the workers are done and don't need to support those local businesses.

That's not how it works. Once the center is built, it's staffed. That staff still needs to purchase goods, eat, etc.

Sure, a portion of goods will be ordered via Amazon, losing some of the local businesses some business. But the influx of income will overall benefit the majority of those businesses, and it's somewhat improbable that anyone local is going to shift to suddenly ordering Amazon if they weren't already, just because there's a distribution center nearby. Some just like to shop in person. There's also business and brand loyalty, etc.

If anything, the gains the local area received due to the workers being there to build the center will increase and stabilize, providing a long term economic boost to the area due to the influx of thousands of additional jobs, and through those jobs, thousands of additional paying customers.

The real pain that'll be felt is the hotel/motel market. Where the workers who were only there temporarily were likely staying in such temporary lodging, massively boosting their revenues, the long term Distribution Center and office workers will be looking at home ownership and leases. So the housing market in the area will boom, and the temporary lodging market will decline sharply, back to more normal levels.

The top earners hide literally trillions of dollars a year from the government. The most recent estimate is at least 2 trillion with a tax loss of several hundred billion dollars. So adjust that 40% down by at least a factor of 2.

Now add that 99.999% of their income is extra, compared to the bottom 50% of earners who's income is almost entirely used just to stay above water, and look at that the rich are abusing the system.
