One might argue most cases of this are the exact opposite of free market capitalism. Im not super familiar with why insulin is the way it is, but isnt it because government has stepped in and mandated that a few conpanies have a oligopoly on insulin due to lobbying and other coercive methods that would not exist if government itself were more restricted?
Also im not 100% positive, but people who need insulin generally seem to get it here in IL
There is no such thing as "free market capitalism". It's a meaningless buzz word that righties made up so they can always say it's government's fault. In reality there are many examples that are well documented where multiple companies came together to set prices, set quality of items, etc.
Capitalism requires government intervention to function. It requires courts, property rights, a system of laws to define the playing field. Without that there is no property and no capitalism. Conservatives will point to that system of laws and say "look, its interferring with the free market". Yeah, no shit, there's literally no such thing as a perfectly free market.
