This is the part I don't really understand. If it was to send a message, why not toss out a "No Justice No Peace" or "Alahu Ackbar" or even a basic "Fuck the Police?!"

He went to a heavily fortified area with a large quantity of armed individuals and acted in a manner that would get him dead, withOUT bothering to give any message.

Doesn't that, logically, reek of suicide by cop to you?

They quoted "4 experts involved in the investigation." Thus far I have seen no official confirmation of the suspect's identity. However, based on the NBC/MSNBC reporting, all the major and most of the minor networks have picked up the reporting.
