This post is a violation of the site rules and appropriate action was taken.

This is something I've talked about before. This thread is another great example of it being true.

"You cannot reason with people who have gotten to their position by way of emotion."
"these are not rational people. These are not reasonable people. These are strictly emotional people"

Quote
Who says you are intelligent?
Are you the person who should be judging that? What with Dunning-Kruger and all..

Another hacky regurgitated line.. snore.

Desperately wanting something to be the case does not make it reality. Its very clear you are mentally deficient and hostile to reason.

You have never in the years you have posted here once admitted you were wrong, maybe think on that for a minute.

People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

Deluding yourself into believing I have a different definition of facts and then calling your own delusion proof that I am mentally ill is another self-defeat.

You refuse to consider the facts and arguments people post and just pretend they are wrong and call them names without merit. That is an intellectually invalid practice that is designed to make yourself feel better about your anti-intellectualism, shortcomings and poor behavior. You should change.

lol, just give it a rest, dinesh. you came to this threat in order to make excuses for hypocrites that opposed a bill and now try to take credit for it - something not even the other right wing shills tried to do, because it is so obviously and transparently dishonest.

that in itself is already incredibly pathetic, though certainly not unexpected from you. the really funny part, however, is when you get so mad when people point out how you're just another GQP boot licker, how virtually no one buys your silly little "libertarian" shtick. like a mental patient insisting they are napoleon bonaparte, lol.

the simple truth is that you just can't have it both ways: constantly simping for GQP frauds, and also claiming you're a principled "libertarian"...

"These people aren't interested in arguments, guys. These people are interested in control and propaganda.
They want to present their specific idea as THE idea. The righteous one."

Interested in posting MSNBC propaganda articles.
No interest in considering differing beliefs or points that run counter to that narrative.
Interested in hating anyone who disagrees as evil.

I'm uncertain what the point of this thread is.

Republicans voted against the bill, undoubtedly. They supported a leaner bill. They were not "against help" but instead were against a $1.9 Trillion bill that was more of a state bailout than covid relief. That being said, the states are receiving a lot of money. Republicans are very interested in showing their constituents that the money their state has received from the bill is being put to good use. Sort of a "We didn't want this, but since we've got it, here's what we're doing with it."

Financial minds are incredibly concerned with federal spending right now. The debt is currently over $28 Trillion. Interest payments on the debt account for some $500 Billion worth of annual federal spending. You want more spent on education or infrastructure or medical grants or whatever else? Well, how much could that $500 Billion/year fund, exactly?

Let's do some simple math: The first 2021 bill passed (under Trump) included $900 billion for covid relief, along with $1.4 Trillion for federal funding. The march Covid bill provided another $1.9 Trillion in spending. Biden is now attempting to push for a $2 Trillion infrastructure spending bill. If you add all that up, that's $6.2 Trillion. Total Federal Revenue in 2020 was $3.36 Trillion (16% of the 2020 GDP). Now, assuming 2021's federal revenue intake is at least as high as 2020's, that means spending will be nearly $3 trillion higher than revenue. That's a huge add to the federal debt (over 10%), which directly translates to a huge add to the annual interest payment on that debt. This is money that is simply going away. It's not funding anything.

There comes a point where you need to ask "how much is too much?" And to be honest, I think neither Republicans or Democrats, as a whole, give two shits. Both seem mostly happy to continue overspending until we're paying trillions on interest payments alone.

Why do republicans only care about debt when dems are in?
Honest question.

I addressed and countered the point of the thread. That's one of the reasons why you two are having a fit.
Can you remember back that far? Its saved on the first page.

Here it is:

The bill was filled with a bunch of extra garbage and it was correct to vote against it.
This does not mean republicans can't be happy that some of the funding is going to their districts or send out notices. They did not oppose everything in the bill.

Not being a Republican, I couldn't tell you. I was heavily concerned about deficit spending under W. Bush, Obama, AND Trump, and now under Biden, I'm purely aghast. We've got a serious problem that has been exacerbated by both sides of the aisle, and you're trying to point the finger at Republicans, as usual.

Is there a table showing where the debt came from? would be interesting.
