I'm in favour of the death penalty for serious crimes such as armed robbery and home invasions however I do believe in due process and do not support having the police execute suspects unless their own life is in danger.
Putting aside my own dislike of delinquents I think the swedish model which is much more lenient in terms of rehabilitating criminals and reducing redicisivism is better for society and as much as I think it's too soft that may be the better approach to dealing with crime.
this is exactly backwards.
for armed robbery or home invasion the CITAZEN is justified in killing the criminal. but once apprehended the state is not. if they're caught, and only charged with robbery/B&E that means no one died. so there's no crime worthy of killing them. a person killing them is potentially stopping a murder.
