One magically happened during the election year. Same with BLM. Coincidence? I think not.

As much as i hate Trump as a president. He did what he had to do to open people eyes. I hope there will be more Jokers over the years and less batman.

The 1% need to get a taste of their own medicine.

BLM was created in 2020? lol.

I work in an intensive care unit in France (reanimation, dunno if it s the same word in USA) . You should come and tell people who have intubated and who are being put on a ventilator that they are acting.
You clearly have 0 knowledge about science and medecine to spread your theory.
There are some good conspiracy theorists out there. You are not part of it.

I was going to be generous but I'll also say that it's called Covid 19 because it was discovered in 2019.

So... yeah.

Interestingly they've been still doing regular flu tests in hospitals.

The flu has a much lower spread rate than Covid and is transmitted the same way.

Turns out when you take precautions against Covid, to nobody's surprise, you also reduce the flu spread by the same factor. Cutting Covid's wild spread rate in half keeps it above 1, which means it continues to propagate, but the flu has a typical spread rate of between 1 and 2, so when you cut that in half it basically stops existing.

Honestly we should probably just keep masks as a normal part of our society from now on. They're super low cost relative to the benefit, the benefit being stopping basically all respiratory illnesses including future pandemics before they even get started.

Last year, some conservatives said that liberals will want us to keep wearing masks forever, even after covid has been beaten. They were mocked and considered crazy, fear-mongering conspiracy nuts...

It won't be mandatory obviously.

I'm just saying it would be a good idea.

The most sensible thing is probably what East Asia has been doing: those with flu-like symptoms wear a mask when they're outside, out of considerateness and politeness.

But blanket mask mandates during wintertime, applying even to perfectly healthy persons? NO. FUCKING. WAY!

Yeah, I know what you mean. Having a larger part of your face covered with cloth can be nice on cold winter days, but I hate the fit of these surgical/ffp2 masks. For the purpose of keeping my face warm, I'd prefer something like this:
