I guess I can get excited about being taxed less for a short duration as a way to earn positive favor for the f'up government we've had through 2020. Maybe I can buy a scalped xbox series x or ps5 now.

At this point, stimulus checks would just get levied by landlords.

Most people that need it are already 10k in debt.

No, but Conor Lamb would be a horrible choice because he wouldn't be able to control the progressives. I have my $$ on Hakeem Jeffries being the next Dem Speaker. For the GOP, I imagine that McCarthy would be the guy. He managed to keep everyone in line regarding impeachment which is a pretty big accomplishment from the GOP's perspective.

So, basically, you agree with me that the attacks on Pelosi are so effective because there really is so much to criticize about her. She's good at herding cats and keeping her fractious caucus in line, and also at maneuvering around the rules and procedures of the House - but she's abysmasl in the role of standard bearer/public face for her party.

Conor Lamb is obviously not a viable choice for Speaker to begin with as he's from a right-trending swing district.
