was first time we had any real grades and I was new to the concept of midterms. was jackingoff in several classes not doing shit really and had been broadcasting to my dad yaya school is going good etc. Little did I know we had to get our midterm grades signed by parents. I was so full of shame I faked the signature. of course got busted. that night I did not go hungry. my parents were divorced so that night I was just with my dad. we had already planned on getting Chinese food and he picked it up on way home from work. I used to put sweet and sour sauce on my rice. the only thing my dad said to my that night was when he passed me little plastic sweet and sour sauce container and said "save some for your brother." I felt like total shit, I was so nauseated I thought I was going to vomit after every bite.

My mom just did 3d chess level parenting. One of the first times I did a lie that was big to her at like ~7. She didn't really react and mostly just went about her day. She then asked if I still wanted to go get Ice Cream on the way for an errand like we planned. So in the car and as we come up on Dairy Queen , she just drives pass it. "I thought we were getting Ice Cream mom" Oh I lied , we aren't getting Ice Cream.
Just sat there quietly slowly slowly realizing everything.
Also I brought home a bad report card in middle school and what made me never want to do bad in school again was when instead of my mom getting mad or disappointed about it, she just instead was concerned and acted it's because maybe I'm just struggling because I'm not smart enough and was planning to get me help and the feeling of my mom thinking I'm not smart instead of me just not trying made me just not want to deal with those situations.
