If poor people can't afford homes they will move out, and competition for their labor will increase thereby increasing their wage and allowing them to buy a home.

Don't be silly, soft-hearted (and soft-minded) liberals will use tax money to subsidize their housing, reinforcing the problem. And negating the benefits of higher incomes.

If that doesn't work then the state will fail and people will move away. If the state hasn't failed the free market deems it a success and it isnt our place to question its wisdom.
