Then say "a person who is in the country illegally". Calling them "an illegal" is just like calling somebody "a black". They aren't "a black" they are a black PERSON.

Anecdote

My PI for my masters was talking to the group informally about something. He says "Oh, yeah, I have a trans in my class". I stopped him and said "Dr. S. You really shouldn't say 'a trans' for the same reason you shouldn't say 'a black'. They're a trans person." You know what he did. He nodded, said "oh yeah, that makes sense." No fight, he thought about it for a few seconds and accepted it. These aren't hard concepts people!

Illegal immigrant is not dehumanizing, it is an accurate description. They are an immigrant. They are here illegally.

The only reason to prefer "undocumented" is to distract intentionally from the fact that they are breaking American law. Newspeak indeed.

Whether it is dehumanizing is an opinion. I'm sure plenty of people didn't think negros was dehumanizing, or orientals, drag-queens, or fag, or any other things we recognize now as slurs, and in 10 years nobody will be fighting about this because we'll pretty much all just recognize it as fact.

question, do you think asylum seekers presenting themselves at the border are illegal aliens?

Depends on whether or not their claim is accepted, and whether they are allowed legally to reside in the United States.

What if they're in the country illegally. Can't call em out for that?

You guys are such snowflakes it's unreal

imagine being mad at people for using the term illegal immigrant. it’s mostly pale pasty privileged lefties that get mad about this.

also the same group of racist anti-American pale pasty privileged lefties absolutely despise immigrants who went through the proper channels and waited in line to move countries. mainly because this set of immigrants aren’t prone to listening to said privileged lefties lecturing them on how to be a minority etc.

On a real note, these singular issues are taking away from the poll.

When we will be at a true critical mass point, do you see the American people continuing to disregard their citizenship and allow their system of government to be used as a tool to make wealth or take wealth vs. a system of law with the notion to protect justice, freedom, property, and liberty over any single groups self-interest?

the USA is more likely to be dissolved because we move to a worldwide govt in 100-200 years than to dissolve from within before then.

Arguably, that change is from within, how else do we relinquish our sovereignty. You think it will take another 100 years? hmm

Interesting point snipa.

How do you define collapse? The US is on it's second form of government since becoming independent.

I could see it happening from within. but i think the relevant factors will be automation taking most of the jobs, and colonization of other planets or a space station. with no jobs left and only the poor staying here a govt's sovereignty will mean less and less.
