Huge old building and i have a couple very large fish tanks that require life support...75 gallon and 150 gallon.

Nice, I’m into fish tanks as well, but I only have a 20/10 G. What kind of fish do you have ? I believe we may have briefly had this convo before, don’t you have a fish named titty boi or something like that haha

I had an oscar named titty boy lol. I keep cichlids in my big tank. Bosemani rainbows and roseline sharks.

I have a lot of fancy places, coaches, corydoras. I have a 20 gallon with 6 pea puffer fish. I have a betta in a jar with a pathos growing out of it.

All my tanks except the cichlid are heavily planted...my whole home is heavily planted.

We used to have a massive gas bill but we put in a fireplace unit with a front blower and now we generally heat the house most winter months with that rather than the furnace.

idiot who owned my house before me tho put in a new gas furnace (good), electric water heater (not so good), and an electric stove (worst of all). guy had the chance to go all gas on the 3 major appliances and opted to mix it up, dunno why.

Check your insulation, srsly. I used to live in a 50s-era house, and the gas bill was getting over $300/month alone in the winter. Checked the attic, and it still had the original insulation from the 50s, which had compacted to about a half-inch thick. Put in 25 or so rolls of insulation, and gas bill went down by 50% the next month.

all these number are corrects, and electricity is not cheap, especially if you have a 600W growing session in the basement.

we actually had the exact same thing. 1980's unfaced insulation that wasn't doing shit. so we replaced it and it did help big time.

our high gas price is mostly due to my wife wanting to keep it at a blistering 74 degrees. she has circulation issues and i catch her fucking with the thermometer a lot lol

Because people on the right tend to have more money than those on the left and it's already a tough existence making it work on the money they have. There's more debt across the US than there has ever been, more people living paycheck to paycheck, most people have little to no savings and are one medical accident or car accident from going into unsustainable debt.

Personally i think organic change from dirty energy to clean is good enough. The world economy is already a house of cards, if you force some heavy duty taxes to subsidize the green deals of the world it could tip to fail.

And yet the right refuses to even attempt to fix any of the issues you just named lol.

Simple people think those are easy to solve things, they're not, they're systemic and in some ways first world issues that most of the globe would love to have because it speaks about the living standard of that country.

The right at least doesn't try to raise taxes with such a backdrop. Can you imagine dealing with all of that and having someone on the left raising taxes by 5, 10%?

And someone on the right raising your taxes hits my pocket book differently?

The house I'm moving into is going to cost ~500 a month in property taxes for the area and I would not call the local government liberal lol. Then over 1000 a month between wife and I on income and state taxes, in Ohio, not what you would call liberal. When Feb-Mar rolls around I'll get a fuckin tax bill that will probably equal a paycheck.....2017 was ~2500...2018 was better because we went with zero deductions and paid maximum taxes throughout the year...was only a couple hundred bucks. I think Trump enacted something that did benefit us on our last taxes, and I appreciate it, but some folks are really hurting too.

I don't feel like the liberals are taking all my money. I don't think it is the GOP either. My opposition to them is more based in their collective commitment to fantastic beliefs and their gross incompetence in governance.

I would vote Libertarian if they weren't such a freakshow lol.
