The most dangerous ideas perpetuated by religion is it makes some people think that their home is not this earth.

I agree with this and its actually a pretty big problem.

Because if you think you have paradise waiting for you and that this is just a temporary residence there is less incentive to give a shit about the environment.
It would explain a lot.

i won't say false, but i'm not saying true either. this depends on the person and i don't think you can lump a full following into 1 or the other.

i argue with my father about mankind settling on other planets. his vision of the scripture is that Jesus will come again, but he's only coming to earth.
to him there is no reason to worry about space because we are supposed to die here. he is actually insulted that we are trying.

he's also the same guy to bitch about plastic straws and concreting the planet.

this also works in reverse to a greater effect i believe.
if you don't believe in "life after death", you start to wonder if there is any point to anything in life. it's a lot easier to develop a "fuck it" attitude from there.

Christianity teaches responsible stewardship. Buddhism & Hinduism teaches karma and the value of all life, reincarnation, etc. Pretty much every major religion is focused on morality.

Your comment isn't consistent with reality. According to most religions, some form of morality standards leads to paradise not over consumption or hedonism.

You're either really ignorant of reality or some bitter atheist that wants to portray religions in some negative light.

have all you people forgotten about demons of atheism...

this man is clearly affected by demons bro... it's a demons job to mess with people giving them false hopes of some day disappearing into nothingness after they die... demons will encourage a man to do whatever he wants in life because he believes there are ZERO consequences

If and when you stop trolling, I shall be interested in having a good, serious discussion about religion with you.

But right now it's crystal clear to me that you aren't interested in that at all. You're just a hateful and blackhearted troll.

That above quote is just one example, btw.

Ive already determined you arent going to be honest, so I wouldnt talk to you regardless.

Theres plenty of examples in the United States of politicians saying the equivilant of "God will fix climate change if its a problem" or "Jesus is coming back soon, before climate change will be a problem".

What he's saying is grounded in examples of the modern Republican party.
