Wow! That "sounds" pretty good, and I'm sure will impress a few PaRDians. However, grammatical errors are common these days, due to the various nationalities of those doing the research.

Secondly, since you're NOT a climate expert, I think I'll just wipe MY ass with your comment. :D

You're right! I'm not a climate expert. And neither are you, so you have no clue if this paper is credible.

However, I am a trained scientist with publications and I can tell you that this paper has dozens of giant red flags and has not been peer reviewed which means it isn't even up for consideration by people looking to do real work in the field.

I mean, I don't hold this paper against him. I don't know who uploaded this paper, but it is clearly not finished and hasn't been submitted for serious consideration. I wouldn't be surprised if one of his graduate students or undergraduate students submitted it against his advisement.

Dude, since you've come on this morning, you've been a bit upset about any and everything. Maybe it's time for some laced egg nog. ^^

I don't see any anger in Thors posts tbh lol... You don't need to be a climate expert to know if a paper doesn't even pass basic creditential issues

Not anger, I'm rushing around in the new path of exile league and it's making me think and rush in everything else.

He has to ascribe a personal reason to my refutation of the paper or else he would have to admit he was wrong, and Ghot has literally never done that in his entire history on this forum.

I agree that "baby boomer" is both a generational identity and also a mindset. My mother has a super boomer mindset. Doesn't understand technology, is fairly reactionary, and talks about "the good old days", but my friends parents are super competent with technology and understand there are unique challenges faced by different generations. They're not very boomer. (my mom isn't a baby boomer and his parents are, had kids super old)

However, I also know you are boomer as fuck, have no sense of perspective, and don't even have basic knowledge of major historical events that you lived through, so I don't value your opinion. You have virtually zero self awareness and not everybody is that way.

Dunno bro... I see some anger in this post of yours.

That's because you are boomer as fuck, have no sense of perspective, and don't even have a basic knowledge of major historical events that you lived through. You have virtually zero self awareness and that makes you look for excuses instead of introspect.

Am I boomer as fuck, too?

You’re definitely stubborn and close-minded af.

I see it, too. A lot of it. He’s a very angry person. And that’s coming from a millennial.

Btw I don’t have any tattoos or body piercings and I’ve never dyed my hair.

I see a lot of it. He really hates religion and has a lot of disdain for those who are religious. The irony of it is that atheism really is a religion - a religion with a No God.

There's a ton of stuff that sent the older generations into an absolute frenzy that simply wouldn't phase somebody now.

A few things to bear in mind is that we had collective generations of Americans go absolutely ape shit over desegregation, gay rights, rock music, dungeons and dragons, etc. Millenials are honestly just used to more differing opinions due to the greater ease of access to information. Younger generations have been exposed to a much greater diversity of opinion than any generation who grew up before the internet, and it's not even close as a comparison. As a result we're much more tolerant. My generation really couldn't give a less of a shit about trans people using the same bathroom as us but it sends 50+ year olds into an absolute frenzy the same way gay rights did and the same way desegregation and rock music did to their parents.

I think the older generation rages, but to say that the millennials are tolerant isn't really true.
Look at how much people rage over a red hat.

Less well known is the paradox of tolerance: Unlimited tolerance must lead to the disappearance of tolerance. If we extend unlimited tolerance even to those who are intolerant, if we are not prepared to defend a tolerant society against the onslaught of the intolerant, then the tolerant will be destroyed, and tolerance with them. — In this formulation, I do not imply, for instance, that we should always suppress the utterance of intolerant philosophies; as long as we can counter them by rational argument and keep them in check by public opinion, suppression would certainly be unwise. But we should claim the right to suppress them if necessary even by force; for it may easily turn out that they are not prepared to meet us on the level of rational argument, but begin by denouncing all argument; they may forbid their followers to listen to rational argument, because it is deceptive, and teach them to answer arguments by the use of their fists or pistols. We should therefore claim, in the name of tolerance, the right not to tolerate the intolerant.

neither group is that tolerant between the boomers and the younger, more loudmouth millenials. ironically they are quite similar in practice but they just hatred of others in different ways

gen x and older millennials (ones who are now raising families and moving up the higher rungs of the ladder at work) are imo the most tolerant of differences in others (in the “you do you and i’ll do me no harm no foul” sort of tolerance)
