we get it. you are personally offended that i called out your propaganda bs.

now come up with an argument.

trump's authoritarian tendency of going after outlets that dare to criticise him is something you just can't acknowledge, that's why you resort to your predictable straw men. trying to equate anything that bernie sanders might have said about steve scalise to what trump says on a daily basis about people that dare to criticise him is laughable. do you genuinely not realise how dishonest you're being trying to rationalise that moronic little narrative of yours?

joseph goebbels said it was 'authoritarian' for Jewish people to criticize the third reich for putting them on one-way train trips
his descendant says its 'authoritarian' for Americans to use free speech

I don't really read/watch either so I wouldn't know.

The few articles I've seen floating around from Breitbart were charged to the levels of absurdity. Honestly wondered if they know what Poe's Law is.

I wouldn't recommend only getting your news from a place like CNN or MSNBC, but they are far better sources than Fox News or Breitbart.

If you want to get solid news and analysis from both sides, read NYT/WaPo/WSJ, National Review, and Vox.

Has WaPo fired their headline editor yet? Humanizing a part time serial rapist part time mass murderer because "Drumpf!" really puts whatever credibility they had through the shredder.

why would they do that? the shit headline go millions of clicks, which caused thousands of 1$ subscriptions just to read it.

were you laboring under the delusion that the media has integrity or even worse that they should have integrity? integrity was what sold newspapers in 1940, it's 2019. they were only ever using any integrity to make money.

Well, they were using integrity as a way to pay for their air space. Ot was expected that they would host non profit generating news programs as a way to make up for their exclusive access to that part of the spectrum. Once we stopped enforcing that, and more methods of access came into use, they didnt have to lose money on news anymore

Access to news is one half of the access sphere. the other is access to information by the media. it's a lot easier to report "lets wait for the facts" when you have no choice. but when we instead have a heap of conflicting facts they can report what gets the most clicks.

and look at the # of celebrities, it's grown 100 fold in the last 20 years. a public who previously only cared about what happens to backstreet boys and britney spears now cares about what happens to just about anyone with 500k instagram followers or more. so where before they couldn't fill a full day they now have pick of the litter on "guess what ____ said about ____" type stories.

The only extent to which I care about ridiculous headlines is that it gives right-wingers fodder to criticize fact-based journalism as a whole.
