if you were less literal when cornered i'd let you off the hook. but you're just like the rest, you get semantic when you need to and you get as vague as you can when needed.

we all do it, feel free to point out when i have jack shit other than vague party trend lines and am wildly speculating.

if you want to stay true to fender form make sure to respond with a 12 hour project of analyzing your posts for proof of my claims. then call me a dodger.

I did a little digging because I was curious about him on the issues. He's lacking on foreign policy but I found this from Beto.

Quote
O’Rourke, a member of the House Armed Services Committee, defends the vote, saying he would not approve sending “lethal” aid to Ukraine and further involving the U.S. in another global conflict.

“It was us becoming a participant in yet another war,” O’Rourke said listing the war in Afghanistan and Iraq, plus U.S. roles in conflicts in Syria, Libya, Somalia and Yemen. “I don’t know that deepening U.S. military involvement in Ukraine is going to solve that country's problems. I’m not down with more war for the United States.”

That's promising. That's why I said I'm open for you to change my mind because I acknowledge I'm not all-knowing. Obviously, if he ever runs and is consistent with the above I might support him depending on other issues. Ultimately it's hard for me to see how he doesn't get molded into being a hawk. Tough to make it in Washington wanting to take on the war cabal.

making up your mind along trend lines on a few phrases out of context then challenging the other person to "change your mind" is about as Fender of a behavior as i can think of. but kudos, he never does any digging or actually changes his mind.

All the Dems crying Russia bad must help Ukraine militarily, all of them crying Assad bad, must send troops & arms, all crying Trump bad for wanting to bring troops home from Syria, but yes Beto will break ranks and all of the sudden not be a hawk. Yes, truly fendersque deduction on my part

Obama was roundly criticized for not sending arms to Ukraine, and not intervening more in Syria.

And Elizabeth Warren, one of the Democrats most likely to get the nomination, supports withdrawing from Syria. Also:

In her speech, the Massachusetts Democrat called for the United States to rein in “unsustainable” overseas involvements in conflicts “that sap American strength,” criticized the country’s support for Saudi Arabia, called for cuts to the “bloated defense budget,” and reiterated her opposition to President Donald Trump’s reworked North American trade agreement.

Sure, many Democrats are hawkish on foreign policy, just as Republicans are, but let's not pretend it's a consensus view.

i would guess that the hawks in both parties are around 50%, both sides of the aisle.

i used to think it was more democrats but the omnibus spending bill with tax cuts proved to me once and for all that the fiscally conservative branch is dead. Paul Ryans call for entitlement reform will never come to pass. too many puppies on the teets.

And I praise Obama for not interfering as much as others wanted him to. Even with those things being true he still had a pretty overwhelming Drone campaign, kept troops in Afghanistan when he said he'd bring them home, went along with Lybia, etc.

And lol. Warren will not get the nomination. When the vast majority holds hawkish views, the Warrens, the Rand Pauls, etc. usually get drowned out.

When asked in an interview about the constitution, Beto O'Rourke responded:

For those not fully aware of the premise. Beto wants to subvert our Democratic system in favor of his selfish agenda by getting rid of the constitution.

This is a scary new trend among Democrats, to destroy the institutions that form the bedrock of our civilization. I hope the trend stops in its tracks and reverses because the consequences of such a movement will be bad. We already see the trouble that the 9th circuit court of appeals has caused.

I want to get rid of the 16th & 17th amendments. I hate the country too, right?

I dont think wars on foreign soil will play too much of a role in 2020. It's gonna be mostly about identity politics, and a littile bit about trade.

More debatable in terms of amendment.

We all know what Beto means though. This is the media dance that Democrats do whenever they want to bend the rules, govern by executive order, etc

Then they put on a clown nose and call anyone further right than stalin a stick in the mud.
