real mass shootings, not fuckboi stats, are a white male conservative problem. and due to mental health and poor support when family fails. but they're also responsible for a fairly benign body count compared to the heartstring pulling stats you hear in senate. i think white males, even with a higher occurrence of aversion to mental healthcare, are willing to look into the problem. and support for creating a permit class of firearms is not only common it's growing. increasingly the voters are realizing, despite NRA protest, that giving up something guarantees rights for longer. the narrative of all right wingers being heel digging temper tantrum throwing unwilling to listen people doesnt reflect the modern electorate, it's just clouded by the modern lobbyist scene.

Yes. One of the issues with the mass shootings conversation is how we define them. The definition shouldn't just include all major gun violence. In most people's opinions, there is a difference between gang-related violence and a mass shooting.

And gosh damn, I googled mass shooting to look at the different definitions and didn't even realize that another one happened today. At least 12 dead. Wtf.
