Oh I'm sorry - do Indians not currently live in what has been compared to 'Third World' conditions with overcrowded housing, high homelessness and only half of homes connected to a sewer and ~half of Indians living below the poverty line? Or is that all history?

The more you post your ignorance in this thread on this topic the more difficult it will be for you to pretend to be well informed through your nauseating arrogance in the future

The world was build on command conquer and exploitation. You want to go down that rabbit hole we have a lot of making up to do to many different groups of people.

this doesn't hold up to me

we live side by side today with the consequences of recent genocide and culture clashing

real recent by any reasonable time measurement

it's lazy and dishonest to pretend otherwise imo

And now the people have defeated themselves. It's a cycle of alcohol, drug and violence against each other.

I can't even buy vinilla extract unless I ask the cashier for a key.

I feel no pity when I walk up and down the roads and they're missing fingers and toes passed out everywhere.

It's disgusting abuse that they now bring on themselves.

Becsuse of the piss poor will power I witness everyday.

There is so many people here trying to help, millions and millions of government resources.

Did we create the issue from past treatment. Yes likley. But now there's no will to break away

Don't believe me come live it in Nunavut with me.

These kids are given every opportunity in the world even in the Arctic circle. It's all pissed away.

Post secondary is 100 % free for native and Inuit people. There's self help program after self help program. It's all just tossed aside

that is a lack of understanding of addiction and lack of understanding of addiction from the historically recent trauma and destruction of people

people nearly made extinct through violence and maliciousness that lead to survivors living in rotting cemeteries of their cultures

I was born addicted and have never drank or used but it's in me. That urge haunts me every single day as does all of the pain of where I grew up, what happened there, to them, and eventually to me it's in our blood, in our bloodlines

I have to be extremely careful with everything i do because I can get addicted to anything, you add in extreme (and I mean extreme) poverty during early development and abuse and neglect from people that had that done to them and there really is no escape mentally

To fix problems we have to better understand them and the causes and with Natives it's an especially tragic and misunderstood issue from those that have not studied or have kneejerk reactions to deny or whitewash what happened and the consequences of that treatment existing to this very day

Victim mentality mixed with being a hypocrite full time. That's what the culture boils down to now.

I think my favorite scenarios consist of the following:

Claim to be one with nature ----------> leaves ski-doo and barrels of fuel on the ice until it falls through ----> no worries government will buy me a new one.

We live by the land ----------> Oh you will give us common shares to rape it! ----> Perfect! more money to drink with.

There is so many hypocritical situations. I get a kick out of them.
