Nope, married people live longer, make more money, have more sex, are more emotionally stable, and pay less on car insurance.

I also waited 4 years, didn't have a big wedding, and made sure we communicate well before I made the decision to get married.

I hope you looked up the data on divorced people... you might as well load up a revolver with 3 bullets and spin it.

I'm pretty sure they know it's unhealthy, the problem is food is addictive and they are most likely making food choices based solely on the misinformation from the food industry.

...not only did you totally miss the sarcasm but you went on to blame misinformation for what is clearly an emotional disorder .

No, we should leave them alone.
To shame people for something they dont wish to be is making it worse, they will only get fatter.

You should just ignore the fact that theyre fat, and in time they will feel free to realize by themselves that they should do something about it if they want.

I don't think people should be shamed, but it troubles me that posting half naked selfies of your morbidly obese ass is considered 'brave'.

Why does it matter if they're happy with where they are, I know a lot of people that would prefer to be on the heavier side. If they aren't happy with their weight, motivate them to get better.

of course we should. PC culture is at its worst when its encouraging people living unhealthy to "accept their body image"
If you're a fat fuck, stop eating tubs of icecream and start jogging.

Marriage and homosexuality and other lifestyles that we can correlate with longer / healthier life aren't the same as actual causation from obesity. Theres nothing inherently wrong with being unmarried that makes your life shorter- theres something inherently wrong with being a lardbelly. Thats basic fact and disagreement is a rejection of science let alone basic logic.

I looked up the data on behaviors that are associated with divorce to minimize that risk, and behaviors of successful marriages.

No we should not shame fat people, just like we shouldn't shame skinny or buff dudes like myself.

We should definitely shame smokers, and anyone who drinks more than 5 drinks every other week, and anyone else who's making unhealthy choices, because we're all super concerned about peoples' health.
