people who are silently voting no, please speak up :o

There is no reason to force vaccination in our country right now, there will be a special law in time in case of major epidemic.

It seems the liberal media is pushing forth the idea that forced vaccinations are good for you

do you believe the state should be allowed to make it mandatory for your children to have vaccinations if they are to attend school or is that a violation of your freedoms as parents?

Parents are free to home school if they don't want to vaccinate their children. People shouldn't have the freedom to put other people's children at risk just because they demonstrate that they're incapable of making intelligent decisions.

Based on an infinitesimally small chance they one day might get that disease? No.

And would it be neglect for every vaccine they choose to forgo? Or just special ones that tickle your fancy? Im sure I could read off a long list of things you aren't vaccinated for.

Possibly... Idk what I'm vaxed for. I'd hope my parents would have vaxed me for anything I am at a moderate risk of getting in the UK. Measles, Mumps, Pneumococcus, Tetanus, Diptheria, Whooping cough etc. If I wasn't vaxed for something I'm sure my doctor would have told me and I would then go and get the vaccine.

It's got fuck all to do with what diseases I think are 'special' it's to do with what i'm at risk of getting. If you don't take your kid for an MMR vaccine and your kid dies of measles then you are guilty of negligent homicide. The shots are free (over here at least) and there is no reason not to have your kid vaccinated.

I say again - If you don't give your kids the recommended shots then you are guilty of negligence and if your kid dies from a disease that could have been prevented by the vaccine you didn't get for them then you are guilty of negligent homicide. It's no different than not buying food for them. Sure they might find food on their own but they also might die. Either way it's neglect.

... and don't even get me started on pox parties... parents who do that shit should be locked up.

In the end this is a case of criminal stupidity and ignorance.

...I support mandatory vaccination for everyone with no religious exemptions . Legitimate medical exemptions such as allergy would be handled on a case by case basis .

My stance too

...home schooled kids still mingle with the public . We have an outbreak here in the Amish community and as withdrawn as they are they still come into contact with the non-Amish in our shops and their roadside stands .

Yes, do you have an example of this happened in North America ?

As far as i know, the most dangerous diseases are the ones they never found vaccinations.

Polio Signs and symptoms, which generally last one to 10 days, include:
Fever.
Sore throat.
Headache.
Vomiting.
Fatigue.
Back pain or stiffness.
Neck pain or stiffness.
Pain or stiffness in the arms or legs.

smallpox Signs and symptoms:
Fever
Overall discomfort
Headache
Severe fatigue
Severe back pain
Vomiting, possibly

Nothing much dangerous, certainly not enough to make vaccination mandatory.
