I like the fact that threads like these tend to bring out the worst in America's collection of bitter leftists. They despise the United States, their own country, for foreign interventionism, yet at the same time deride Americans for focusing first and foremost on a terrible tragedy which occurred on our own turf.

That money you give goes to church salaries and golden spires. Sorry that your left hand knows that now.

This thread is about the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks and a time to reflect on it's fallen heroes not your poor trolling abilities .

You feel innate hostility towards organizations which compete with you for the public's monetary attention, and thus despise the Church (and churches) for being both more giving and more successful than you at helping others.

i remember it was senior year of high school. we were in the gym and they took every class and put us into classrooms and had the tvs on. not even the teachers really knew what was going on. i was trying to figure out what happened and watched the second plane fly into the second tower. i thought it was a replay of the first one and realized it was a second one actually. then the news came in of the pennsylvania crash and the pentagon crash.

I was in 2nd Grade and no one in my class knew what was going on.
All of the teachers were told what happened and many were shellshocked and had to leave classes but students were not informed.
At the end of the day they handed out notices to parents cancelling some town meeting scheduled for that night.

Once I got home, I walked in the door and my mom was watching the news and explained what happened to me.
For those next 3 days I must've watched the news for 40 hours in complete awe.
I was overcome by grief and at the same time anger towards those cowards in Afghanistan who plotted and carried out such an evil deed.

What I find most annoying about these threads is that the anti-American ramblings of a few, let's say, "zealots" let the right continue with their fantasy that they are the only American patriots.

I love it when we intervene for humanitarian purposes. I also think it's fine that people grieve the fallen from our own nation. IDK what you're even talking about.
