Jesus is the light of the world who frees anybody who comes to Him from spiritual death and saves them for eternity.
We should be rejoicing anytime somebody comes out of darkness, giving God all the Glory. It is the grace of God that transforms, heals, restores, and saves anybody through Jesus Christ.
Jesus knew we couldn't live perfect, sinless lives, and so He came down from Heaven Himself to bear the iniquity of us all on the cross so that we could be forgiven of our sins, washed in His blood which sanctifies us, and redeemed forever. As soon as you put your faith in the finished work of Jesus on the Cross, that He lived a perfect sinless life which we could not, and lived specifically to die on the cross for our sakes so that we could be reconciled to God the Father our Father, and then was crucified for the purpose of forgiving our sins and redeeming us to Himself, and rose again on the third day, the Holy Spirit will come and live inside of you forever and you can know that you have eternal life and are heaven bound. All you have to do to be saved (from hell) is confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and that you are a sinner, ask Jesus to forgive you for your sins and for the Holy Spirit to come live inside of you and guide you every day from that day forward.
Do not die without Jesus. He died for your sake so that you could be saved forever. You need Jesus, and God fully intended every living soul to receive Him as Lord and Savior of their lives.
