Isn't there an issue with this cattle parasite, screwworm or w/e it's called, which has recently breached the barrier in Panama and been spotted in Northern Mexico already? Iirc, it's only a matter of time before it arrives in the Southern US and will decimate the meat supply chains. So securing beef supplies from Argentina seems more like a preemptive move to make sure beef prices don't go through the roof, which would be a far bigger political threat to Trump than the bad optics of doing a favor to the Argentinian president.
