Belief is very powerful, this is why churches gather their flock together.
To believe is to have belief,
If you believe in evil, you have evil beliefs,
if you believe in good, you have good beliefs.
what i'm trying to say is, believe in something good,
don't put your belief in pain, suffering or violence.
Channel your energy into something good and positive.
It's easier to be negative but all you'll get is anger and hate.
This is the very essence of Buddhism.
One time when I asked my Swami what the purpose of life was/is. He simply said, "to try and do good". To wake up everyday forgetting all of what happened in the past and being totally "present" in the present moment. Never dwelling on the past/future which are not real. Giving all your being to just try and do good. It is not possible to be a perfected being like "Christ/Buddha/Ramakrishna/etc.". None of these spiritual teachers claimed to be anything special. Yet entire schools of thought developed out of the way they experienced life.
In my opinion the story of "God" world wide is the most interesting, fascinating, and some of the most well written documents in human history and it is also the most silliest!
It is LGBTQ+ that is SERIOUS look at the way they act as a literal cult to suppress straight people.
The irony being I'm a straight white dude and im proud to be straight and scandanavian but I can't be proud to be that because I'd be "racist".
You see there are double standards in politics and lgbtq+ but there is no "real double standard" with God because God is unknowable ineffable and despite what different humans name their god that "god" worshipped by man is actually the same god for all of man.
When you read into human history and stop lying to yourself these are the truths blatantly right in front of your face. Truths that other can't handle doesn't bother me one bit. I was ignorant once too and still am in a lot of ways.
No where near as ignorant as some of the people posting in this sub forum who never read a religious document and then tell me someone who spent half their life reading, "You don't know what your talking about". It's hilarious
Imagine being so pretentious and ignorant you tell someone who studied Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism, Daoism, etc. that "it's all bullshit". Having never read a single sentence the person claims "God is unreal" having never glossed over the pages that billions of people find to be holy and good for understanding the "nature of being human".
I suppose though the unread who can tell me what Donald Trump ate yesterday and who he banged in 1982 that you are the informed one.
