I think liberalism leads to capitalist status quo, not communism. At least American liberalism. But I do agree they're both functionally the same party and same master.

When you really take a look at American policies there is nothing close to communism. Federalism is not communism and really cannot be communism. Social policies can be inspired by communist or socialist ideals but they're done under the careful guise of capital control and federalist control.

They are both the same thing, they have both lead to the same ends here.
Federalism just tricked everyone onto declaring they live on a federal commune, instead of in a free State.
And that they owe a quota of production to the federal commune because everything belongs to the state and is only given to you as a public office.

Ironically with Trump we are closer to single-party state control than we ever have been. Which is at least closer to communism than any prior president in US history on the grounds of governance.

This much I agree with.

Trump even shut down the economy during covid, that's a wet dream for communists.

No I am not. Bible thumpers were canceling parents, teachers, celebrities, and so on in the 80s and 90s just like the liberals of today. That is why I do not consider it a one-sided phenomenon.

Are you likening people just not buying their products, to their products shouldn't be allowed to exist in the first place?

Okay but before social media cancel culture wasn't called cancel culture but it's always existed even if it had other names or no name at all. It's like "memes". There were memes before the term meme was even widely understood.

Boycotting is a form of canceling something in the medium of the market. So, yeah, kinda. Obviously boycotting is a far more legitimate and noble practice than any lazy "cancel culture" of an individual.

No it's not, people have the right to free association under the first amendment.
People also have a right to freedom of expression under the first amendment as well.
You are denying them that right by canceling them.

Except you're also free to express criticism or ignore someone under the right of freedom of expression. So cancel culture is allowed constitutionally if you really think about it. If enough people collectively use their freedom of expression to "cancel" someone who are we to deny them that? The only way it remains is if the collective keeps that energy.

This is why I don't really like the conservative notion of "cancel culture" as a whole because it is attempting to frame something universal and historically human as something only political. I'm sure even when we were cavemen we had a form of cancel culture for the weirdo that was eating human remains. Only the context has drastically changed.
