I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, and a chance to rebuild. It's not much different than what was done to Germany after ww2. That area has so much potential but instead of using the billions in aid to raise up the Palestinian people, their leaders live in luxury in Qatar. The gdp is about equal to North Korea right now.... with the right people in charge, Gaza could eventually become something like Monaco, Singapore, Hong Kong etc.

Wrong. Israel is a secular nation, a majority of Israeli jews consider themselves secular and don't believe God promised them, or anyone else, anything. The creation of Israel was opposed by religious jews around the world entirely because it was secular, and they only started supporting it based on the unconscionable terrorism of it's neighbors.
