Those are pretty auful mean manufacturering and production wages given the current cost of things. Those are not raise a family and have livable living standard wage. It's not the hay days of having a livable wage in America that's forsure. And while advancement of automation requires a more advanced employee, we know the average cost of that in America as well.

The tariffs are relevant here because this tactic has happened in American politics before. American private wealth and monopolies specifically destroyed the economy for the average American. We tried to use tariffs. It failed. We went into the great depression.
