You know I'd rather not even take this argument seriously, but just one counter-point is Trump loves playing the victim, he would relish being stuck in Mar-a-Lago, able to still golf and crash weddings, while all Republican politicians and pundits visit him daily to kiss his ass and pretend he's a political prisoner. It'd probably help him in the 2028 campaign.

Going to Russia would align with the criticism of his enemies. Living a decent life at his resort would align will all of the bullshit narratives the past 10 years.

Out of all the outcomes as it relates to Trump and jail, I think the most unlikely is he faces years of time in an actual prison. Even for social cohesion I would bet Harris would allow him to be under house arrest, and even her intervention will probably be unnecessary.

This is all assuming Harris wins. The likeliest outcome is Trump wins and orders his newest lackey at the Justice Department to abandon any investigation of him. And the cultists here will nod along, as if a criminal president getting elected and disbanding legitimate investigations is totally cool.

yes for sure all what ifs and if he loses and faces anything the best option for all of us would be something like house arrest. spilling our secrets to any enemy would be an awful thing. also isnt a criminal president progress that America is willing to look past a criminal record and not discriminate because of it ? progressives should be cheering.
