It's not that they don't want to have kids. It's the system forcing them do not have kids with price gouging, rent going up, everything going up in price pretty much. Meanwhile the migrants get tons of benefits on top of corporations having handouts to hire these immigrants. So what happen? Let's call a spade a spade.
There's two enemies we have to unite against; Corporations & Rich / Cockroaches from third world countries.
Its all more complicated than that.
There is plenty of cheap food in Europe, public education is free, public healthcare also free.
And a child doesnt necesarily need their own room, back in the old times it was common for 2-3 children in Poland to share a room.
Plus you also get some money (child benefit) from the government, that mostly covers
basic costs.
So technically nothing stops people from making 3-4 children, instead of typical 1-2.
With one or two kids, parents may feel they can give each child enough attention while still having some personal time. More children could mean less time for themselves and more stress.
Parents may feel that they can provide a better quality of life for one or two children than they could for more.
Also some people choose to raise dogs or cats instead of having children.
Pets, especially cats, tend to be more low-maintenance compared to children. People can maintain more flexible lifestyles, travel more easily, and pursue personal interests without the intensive demands of child-rearing.
Also the state promises the state pension to all people, even to those who dont raise children. And, apart from the mentioned child benefit, there isnt really any other benefit for families with children.
Imo we need to do something about that, like give some more benefits to parents, but I'm afraid nothing will be done and Poland will be gone.
Children dont have voting rights, their parents cant vote on their behalf either, so for politicians its a better idea to focus on other groups, rather than children.
