If someone breaks into my home i will not have time to get a gun from my locked gun safe, and i wouldn't want to try it anyway because you would need a tank to get through the protection i have in place.
Secure your property, if it gets to the point of a shootout you already put your family in danger.

Still haven't heard a direct answer to my question. Is this one of those things lefties go "oopsie" and ignore because you sympathize with the invader more than the invaded

u got your answer already, if u were taking some proper steps to not be in a situation where u would have an intruder in your home in the first place then the risks of being in that scenario would be far less

opsec is something that should be thought thoroughly

does being left mean you hate guns? or does being right mean you want fascism militarism, forcible suppression of opposition, belief in a natural social hierarchy? I lean Left but i own a gun, But also want regulation for greedy corporations that destroy oceans or forest..or poison all the farm land or water from fracking near lakes..regulating boats so they dont crash into bridges and stuff like that..Being far right also means pro war ? well even our so called left politicians are loved by Dick Chaney..The only thing the right has to btch about is a few gay books they want to burn.
