Tell me you haven't looked into corporate inflation (greed) without telling me you haven't.

Botched covid response = massive job loss.
Better covid response = mitigated job loss.

Let’s ignore for a moment that states and cities had a very big responsibility in deciding which businesses could stay open and just look at Canada.

We took it very seriously at a federal and provincial level, but still ended up with a ~3 million job loss at the peak, representing a decline in employment of almost 20%. Do you have an example to give of a country that had a good response in your opinion? Ideally not a micro-country or isolated island if you want to have a fair comparison.

Imagine if Trump put as much effort into the Covid response as he has in trying to stay out of prison. Another botched response, just like his healthcare plan, his border plan, etc.

I'd rather imagine what Trump would have accomplished if the DEMS weren't suing Trump for everything under the sun.
Suing him for things they were doing themselves. LOL

Yup, that is what happens when you have a former president adding 7-8 trillion to the deficit, Trump's poor unemployment %, and his botched covid response.

You think inflation just appears out of thin air?

https://www.bls.gov/charts/employment-situation/civilian-unemployment-rate.htm
https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/UNRATE

The unemployment rate peaked in the aftermath of the 08 crash and fell thereafter. It continued to fall steadily through Trump's entire term.

The labor force participation rate, which fell from 66% to 62.4% between 2008 and 2015, saw ~4 years of almost uninterrupted growth. Real median household income increased ~10%. Ditto for median hourly earnings. The story you're trying to sell is partisan quackery.

Again, Trump... the president in charge of the covid response.... BOTCHED the actual covid response... Resulting in MASSIVE job loss.

AGAIN, if Trump had actually taken covid seriously, instead of telling us to inject bleach and light into our bodies, and saying "I take no responsibility", then maybe he could have mitigated the job loss.

This isn't a hard concept to understand.

Botched covid response = massive job loss.
Better covid response = mitigated job loss.

Amazing how other countries with a better response didn't have as bad of unemployment.

Clueless

Countries around the globe dealt with job loss because of Covid and in the US democrats wanted even more lockdowns.

What we have here is democrats blaming a fucking virus that originated from China on a republican president and you parroting that dumb shit shamelessly.

AGAIN when Covid was spilling over from China we saw Nancy Pelosi touring Chinatown insisting that everything was just fine.

Then, when Covid hit, blaming it on Trump.

I have a degree in Economics. I think I'm qualified.

Resident conservatives, what is the discourse in your spaces around the generational trends? Is it that conservatives are needing to adapt to draw in younger generations, or is it that generational trends are temporary and self-correcting?

I'm socially conservative and I think the left's own weirdness on several issues can be exploited by the right. Putting your pronouns in your company bio to try to accommodate less than 1% of the population is weird. Calling Hispanic people Latinx is weird.

And this is coming from someone who proudly calls the Trumpists weird.

Luckily the Harris/Walz ticket is, at least so far, avoiding most of this weirdness.
