Taking the lord's name in vain isn't what most people think.
For example, saying "God damnit" isn't taking it in vain.
Taking the lord's name in vain is stuff like:
"God hates all LGBTQ people"
"God is on our side"
"God will protect only the faithful"
etc
I sort of agree with this concept. God loves all sinners if we are to look at it from that perspective and the Bible.
