Republicans and democrats both have used inflammatory and demonizing rhetoric all these years and you could blame any stochastic terrorism you want on it
But Republicans didn't take a bunch of angsty nihilistic and mentally addled teenagers and pump them full of destructive hormone therapy and mutilate them, that seems like a more proximate causal factor

It's weird to attribute a causal factor to what is incredibly rare and complex behavior.

It's crazy how the right has been whining about this type of framing for years and as soon as they get the chance they behave the same way.

I'm confused about drugs and the shooter. Didn't really follow this one...

Media reported the toxicology report has no indication of significant drugs/alcohol.

Authorities reported shooter being treated for an emotional disorder.

Was the shooter taking medication prescribed by their doctor to treat mental illness? If so, would this be noted on toxicology report? Also, if shooter stopped taken meds, would that be noted?

The information pretty quickly came out that the shooter was a FtM trans who murdered a bunch of white cis kids at a christian school. The obvious presumption is they were targeted with a political/religious/identity grievance. The police suppressed the manifesto that would shed direct light on motive, and now we've seen three pages of it and they speak for themselves
