The Western Hemisphere particularly Britain , Canada has symbiotic relationship in defense , politics and culture. They feed off one another and they take note of each other's public moods.
A public figure have a decent sway. If Emma Watson were to come out in public and admonish a political figure in the United States for example, there is some public sway.
Every vote and every opinion counts no matter how great or small. And public figures , movie stars, comedians, especially movie stars have a greater impact in parts of the society.

Similarly speaking if Dave Grohl who has a fair amount of fans and supporter in the United Kingdom and he make a statement. People do listen, it might not affect everyone but it does affect people.

Similarly this explain why the EU is in such a crappy situation while those attached to the USA are doing well.

Im still having a hard time following. what about this situation has to do with 'Interference and potential vote swaying' ? he endorsed Trump in 2016 and has slowly but surely descended into conspiracy-theory-driven madness ever since. even his own fans started turning on him in 2021 because of the cazy shit he was saying. it seems to be that living like a douchebag for decades has finally caught up to him. whats the political angle here? You can say there are fans turning against him , but there are also fans who will stand by him through hell or high water.
And those fans can be rather influential. You might have a source that says fans are turning against him , but what is the origin of the source ? Does the origin of the source have any political affiliations ?
Given that technology have shrunk oceans and social media in our day an age is an effective marketing machine that surpass whatever has been done before in history. Are these pretend fans or are these real fans ?

I will draw a parallel Jan 6th. There are still going to be fans that are strong enough and numerous enough to make a difference.
And on the other end of the political spectrum we can talk BLM, etc etc etc those might be fans or maybe pretend fans because whatever policies that are proposed and being fought for will benefit them.
