I don't sympathize with complaints about how bad things are in America, whether they come from the right or the left. Historically, and even comparing with how things used to be in recent American history, things are pretty good. America is a land of opportunity. The disadvantaged have numerous opportunities to get ahead, including those provided by the government(like subsidized student loans and grants). Stop complaining and get after it.

Nice puppers he has though.

Agreed, i don't really understand why tens of millions living in the Appalachians, rust belt or rural mid-west can't simply just learn to code. Don't they know there's six-figure jobs waiting for them in NYC or San Fran?

never even heard of the guy or his song, prior to the GoP Debate Circus.

I still don't know who he is. And I still don't care.

Naa just feel empathy for these people.

The working poor for sure are the class that have gotten left behind the most in the last 10-15 years and that's where he's coming from. He's actually rallying against certain parts of the welfare system that subsidizes obesity for example.

Government subsidy 100% exasperates the obesity problem. It's not their intention but it happens. For most of human history obesity wasn't really a thing because you needed to work to get food. So you naturally burned most calories through manual labor, nor can you gorge because food wasn't that abundant nor was it processed with sugars and other preservatives.

I mean go through a stroll in Walmart and look at what land whales pile into their carts. You realize many of those people are buying all of that on funds from food stamps/disability, etc. I have a friend, his father is 300+lbs has not worked in 20 years, there are a lot of people like him and it's not really a right/left issue.

WE could say all of them should be responsible for their own actions.

You are fanboying him about how he is super viral instead of focusing on the political sentiment he was conveying.
If you want to talk about his 5min fame take it to GC.

Still don't know what you're arguing about.

You're just angry for? Boomer vibes.
