Imagine having to pay Erdogan lots and lots of $$$$$$$$ to make Turkey block migration to EU...

Who do you think is laughing ^_^

Edit: BTW this is also an interesting point that I should've mentioned in my previous reply to

Conclusion: NATO / EU don't like Erdogan because he's not "progressive" enough but they need him, simple as that

I'm not Turkish / no family there ;)

It's an interesting situation because "progressive" MSM have been shitting on Erdogan for a long time while at the same time Turkey is a very important NATO ally and the West needs to keep Turkey on their side.

When leaders shit on him, Erdogan is that guy to stand up and say F you. Did you notice what I posted, "progressive" world leaders congratulating Erdogan on his win?

It's funny af don't you agree?

What this and your previous responses tell me is you don't know anything about Turkey or its relationship with the rest of the world outside of what you've gotten recently from the "trigger the libs" branch of online media.

Owen Matthews wrote a good one about Erdogan winning.

Probably good - seems Erdogan got a LOT of votes from Turks in Europe, even 2nd generation ones.

Turkey has always gotten preferential treatment in NATO despite being a massively destabilizing force both economically and militarily.

It has nothing to do with them not being progressive. The leaders of the broader NATO alliance drop that shit when international matters land on the table.

That's exactly what I argued here how could you miss it...

And ask yourself why the EU has frozen Turkish EU membership

That may be your intention but the message you stated was that they were criticizing erdogan for not being progressive.

Which isn't the case. They don't like that he's consolidating power and destabilizing Turkey economically.

You specifically said

Quote

NATO and EU leaders don't like him because he's consolidating power and destabilizing the region, not because he's "not progressive enough".

It's right there dude.
