Great maybe you should start inmates on death row out of your own pocket then. We are talking about most vile incurable mass murderers, rapists, and terrorists etc who have demonstrated beyond shadow of a doubt they are unfit to participate in free society. Prison is a correction Center designed for people to pay for their mistakes and to maybe rehabilitate back into society. Taxpayers are paying out of their pocket to give these people a roof over their head and food for the time in prison.
Life in prison is a very long and costly we talking 10s of millions of dollars per individual. A simple bullet costs $0.20. That could mean an hour of someone's work per week just to pay lawyer fees for a pedo scumbag.

Always amazes me how leftoids never consider costs to any decisions? They must feel like uncle Sam just reaches into his magic bag and pulls out billions of dollars every time with no consequences.

Times were simple back in the day steal some bread get your finger cut off, murder someone then it's rope.
Today we have all kinds of scum committing crimes. Would be a different society if for example all the blm looters came to work the next day with their hand missing. People change their ways real fast when shit gets real and there are consequences to their actions.

Doesn't change anything I've said. Sure death penalty costs more but it's still in the millions of dollars. The problem is the scumbag lawyers stall the fuck out of these trials to charge extortionate amounts p/h fees, there are far more appeals and even when that is all said and done the unanimoty vote usually fails because there is one soy virtue signalling. Florida/Desantis just wants to streamline the process to be more efficient and less costly hence the bill.

What you are arguing is removing the capital punishment entirely.
