Yep. He's a pundit and campaigner, not really a president.

He'll be remembered as the reality tv president.

He doesnt have to dive deep into the details of policy - all he needs to do is appoint proper experts and let them do the work without undercutting them in public every other day.

But we can have someone who is good at the job, wants to be there, and who we dont worry about getting bored and shitting the bed or undercutting his experts to fed his own narcissistic supply.

Its fucking possible, and it used to be the minimum lol.

Agreed. And even if we assume he is Presidential material, he is only a peace-time president. Only looks good when things are going great. Inherited a strong economy and no major foreign conflicts. First real crisis hits, and he whiffs bigly. No leadership.

Im glad he didn't put Obama's recovery and 8 years of production in the shitter. People will work so hard to discredit Obama and his recovery and then vote for the same dudes who put the economy in a place where it had to be recovered. Sad!

"Actions" speak louder than words my friend.

Okay, sure. But the president's words still mean a whole lot. Think about how many wars and new policies have been started simply by a president's words.

I just wanted to point out that a president indulging himself in the minutia of policy is not necessary for a successful presidency. There are various models, from the 'micromanager' types like Obama to hands-off presidents who mostly oversee the work of their cabinet like Reagan.

I dont dispute that Trump has 1. appointed too many weak and/or unqualified persons to his cabinet and 2. has undercut his team and his experts (Fauci et al.) far too often to produce a coherent messaging during this crisis. But a mere "he's not a policy wonk" is not an effective criticism.

It's not 90%. Do you think GDP is going to be down 90% during the 2nd quarter? That's ridiculous.

Maybe you don't pay attention to the news, but small businesses, corporations, and people got a bailout that should cover them for the time being. Hundreds of millions aren't going to wish they are dead, why are you being so dramatic?

because this self claimed uber rich guy doesn't know anything about the actually economy.

Not uber rich, just rich. I got it all by not knowing anything about anything obviously. If only I knew as much as you than I could live in mommys basement crying about the whole world and larping as an adult.
