If it were about removing needlessly sexualized content, they wouldnt replace the titties while at the same time increasing the display of sexualized male, gay or trans characters on their cards and in their flavor texts.

The way wotc is going about this is a clear indication that the company is intentionally removing content which appeals to their core audience in an attempt to appeal to potential new audiences, even though everyone with half a brain cell can see that those attempts are futile.

Goom et al. are not pissed off about the removal of the titties, they are pissed off by the shifting priorities of the company which are symbolized by it.

It's not like they're actively antagonizing their previous audience. This just seems like another case of inclusion is oppression.

MTG has been a microcosm for politics ever since gamergate. SJWs on the design team, politics wars on reddit, etc. There have been splits in the community, pros ousted from a nonstop parade of #MeToo accusations (the #1 world champion was ghosted a month ago with nothing but rumors public). There was a big spat where one libertarian affiliated MTG personality wrote a scathing essay about a camgirl who was ewhoring with MTG cosplay and getting prominent official support, and she did a big dramafest saying she was being victimized and quit cosplaying, and wizards banned him for life- them later at a convention some left wing antifa guy assaulted him by smashing in his face and trying to murder him at a bar in a kind of half baked assassination attempt, yet the convention circled the wagons to protect him while the cops investigated.

Im just listing a few. The gamergate war has raged weekly in MTG, its the only reason I still pay attention since Ive never actually played the game, just studied it. Theres a lot more, a top pro is a trannie and casters will be suspended for using wrong pronouns, one of the top artists was nearly severed when a hit piece was written about how she liked tweets by right wing sources or something, she never actually said anything political.

He walked up to a guy, asked his name to make sure its him, then started repeatedly punching him in the face unprovoked. Bystanders tried to restrain him and victim got in a bar and locked the door, and the attacker punched the window in before giving up and running away.

The attacker being a raging antifa gay guy who runs a shop called "Prettiest Princess Games", the victim being an outspoken anti-PC libertarian and vaguely Trump supporting straight white male.

I'm more impressed with the fact that this topic has been going strong for this long
