Many workers in the private sector didnt have a pay raise for a decade either if they didnt switch their job during that timeframe. Not really justifiable that the Congressmen and Senators, who are generally earning a good wage which suffices for a very decent standard of living, vote to raise their own pay at the taxpayer's expense during times with a record-high deficit and atrocious job performance by Congress...

Congress never has good approval. There is never a good time in the eyes of the public. Out of all the bullshit politicians get involved with to screw over the public their pay or an increase over time isnt really a problem. Especially if they are younger and not balls deep in corruption

If you don't get a pay raise every year than you're losing salary every year the cost of living goes up due to inflation.

I have NOTHING against Congress getting a pay raise. I just wish they would do their fucking job, instead of this TDS crap.

That's how I felt when they were focused on bengazi and Obama being from Kenya.

Nothing inconsistent at all. If Congress is doing their job, then they should get a raise...if not... then they shouldn't.

I disagree, we should really be paying them more to be honest.

No wonder the profession attracts the profligates it does, we don't pay enough for mature talent.

The inconsistency is that you support wasted time and money going after Democrats entirely based on feelings. "Do their job" is just subjective hackery but it's fair to say Congress should work together on things they can with bi partisan support no matter who the president is.

No, I support going after the Dems UNTIL they get back to doing their fucking jobs. I also support and even demand, that Congress should work together on solving the countries problems. Which IS their job.
