If it wasn't colonised and slaves weren't taken and it was left to develop internally without the benefits of cultural exchanges like europe/asia had, then they'd all be living in mud huts right now. The memes true at least
Its the same deal with native americans above the mesoamerican line and aboriginals. Human cultural development happened in a very short span of biological history, we are about 100 generations removed from the bronze age and now we fly spaceships, but homo erectus diverged about 70000 generations ago. Mediterranean and asian cultures had the benefits of thousands of years of cultural upheavals and exchanges to rapidly civilize, while sub-saharan africa and other more isolated cultures lagged far behind in development.
When the american indians were building cliff palace in mesa verde, thomas aquinas was penning Summa Theologiae at Orvieto. Granted as far as that comparison goes the cathedral didn't go up for another hundred years, but Cologne was "contemporary" so let me cite that

I agree to some extent, but there were isolated cultures that did pretty well. Mongolia conquered 1/3rd of the globe's land mass as nomads and hardly any outside interaction. Japan had a policy of sakoku for hundreds of years and were still a powerful nation.

you could provide alien technology to every african to fulfill their every need in an instant, they'd still shit in the streets and the pic below would still be the everyday norm

Lol'd. I knew about the ritual killing of albinos in countries like Tanzania, but killing bald people for gold is a new encounter.

Clearly Africans are just a lower breed of animal. Subhuman. I mean that's what you're saying isn't it?

Depends on the mental illness. I have really bad anxiety and I am extremely unlikely to commit a crime because of the stress it would cause me.

understandable, i was just a bit shocked she said that, cuz i was thinking the context of mass shooters

the asian tendency to shun other cultures is a bit of an odd anecdote in the cultural exchange = societal advancement meta. My only guess is that extreme competition between cultures drove more internal development compared to more peaceful cultures.

Gonna have to stop ya there - Japanese history is one of my main interests/areas of study. Sakoku lasted just over 200 years, so yes hundreds but only just, and still had some visitors and traders from the west though they were only allowed to trade under strict regulation and generally only with the Shogunate itself. The Chinese, Koreans and the Ryukyu islands (which at that point weren't really part of Japan) were allowed a little more freedom. Nevertheless this policy of sakoku hurt Japanese technological advancement greatly. By the time Admiral Perry showed up with his kurofune they were so far behind that they basically had to surrender to 7 ships.

e/ and you can hardly call the Mongols isolated. Expansion is not isolation and the silk road ran through china and Mongolia.

Japan and Mongolia had a lot of cultural exchanges, the Sakoku wasn't enacted until the 17th century and Japan basically technologically stagnated until the US showed up with steam gunships and said 'or else' and they rapidly industrialized.
China, Japan and Korea shared plenty, the written language of Japan and China reflects that

meanwhile look at australia, completely closed off until the 18th century with no cultural exchanges, and erm... Well at least they stopped huffing petrol now, mostly
