Can't do anything without the House. Most representative of the people branch of government. Blew my mind that the Democratic party actually won the House last election, even if it was the WH incumbent's mid-term...I thought the GOP would have the House forever. I know it swings and the other party usually wins during midterms but still surprising the Democrats defeated the Republicans in the most reactionary chamber of government.

The very conservative parts of the GOP platform are dead in the water now thank god due to them being non-starters. If Trump wanted to get a wall he could get it, but he isn't that invested in a wall, and it was more of a gimmick than anything. Same with investigating Hillary Clinton. Trump is clever if anything; he has tricked a lot of people to get elected. Apparently he originally ran as a publicity stunt according to his only friend Howard Stern.
